Before you decide to follow my training plan, check out Hal Higdon (if you google him, you'll find his stuff). He has training plans for different experience levels and for different length races. I looked at his plans when I wrote my first one, but I haven't in a while, so he might have some ideas that work better for you.
I'll look for the link and post it on the link list if I find it.
